		<description>Ah, I thought about beating to the punch the line of people who would make just that comment by including a note in the essay, but figured it was long enough already. Simple answer really - writing is cathartic and can even help you clear up your thoughts. Sometimes you only experience the end-result without knowing why. Putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) helps bring those whys to the surface. Who knew engineer types could like writing?!

By the way, I had been mulling over the contents of this essay in my head for weeks. Writing it only took about 30 minutes.
